Community Developer


Sommtable is looking for a digital-savvy Community Developer. You will be the first point of contact for online users, thus developing an intimate relationship with the online community, build brand awareness and key engagement. The Community Manager will be responsible for managing and aligning social media, PR and marketing content to create engagement. Ideal candidate will lead our efforts in attracting Wine & Spirits experts to our marketplace. Incentivize experts to complete a profile, get video interviewed, build free virtual or in-person experiences, and create free classes.


A degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing or related field may be required. Experience with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. Knowledge of programs to manage online postings on different platforms. Proficient in Google Analytics. At least two years' experience managing social media platforms. Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of marketing trends and techniques.


Develop a content plan. in-person networking will be needed (linkedin) Create engaging content for all platforms, including blog posts, social media posts (IG), and newsletters. (we provide Video edits, and photoshop artwork) Engage with online community and respond to comments and requests. Analyze web traffic and relevant community metrics. Devise community communication initiatives. Attend virtual networking events. Liaise with external agencies or journalists to secure key interviews and business dev ideas.

They act as the voice, tone, and moderator of the brand through community support, content distribution, and digital engagement to build brand presence and trust, both online and in-person.

We're looking for writers & bloggers to add to our growing website. Looking for stories that revolve around wine & spirits, as in how it relates with arts, life and culture. We write a very young consumer audience. The current need is for regional overviews, winery and distillery reviews and various tours.

Author/Blogger bio page on our site (20k visits per month) with links to your own blog. We are planning to feature our writers as “wine guides” with local experience. Readers who are looking for wineries will find articles that share similar interests and preferences. Let us know what kind of wines you love and what kind of around the world wines and spirits you prefer. Regional Overview $30/article 1200-1500 words describing a region. If you visited the winery or distillery, add general travel info like how to get there, weather, any major events, etc. More detail will be provided upon acceptance of the assignment.After first article is accepted, there may be other opportunities for more articles of same genre.
