Awarded as Asia's best bar is in Singapore, according to the inaugural Asia's 50 Best Bars Awards.

Hidden behind an unassuming 1960’s shophouse façade on Singapore’s HongKong Street, 28 HKS is a word-of-mouth venue for people who might appreciate the kind of venue that we enjoy ourselves: relaxing at the beginning, growing a tad louder as the night goes on. Opened in 2011, this speakeasy cocktail bar is renowned for its clean, fresh, flavor-focused drive. Lead by a head bartender from the US, Logan Demmy, it has consistently been on the World's 50 Best Bars list. The creative director is Joe Alessandroni.

The drinks focus is on artisanal spirits and American-style craft cocktails. We normally have about 25 drinks on the menu (plus o-the-menu classics),
split between 28’s versions of classics, our team’s own creations and experimental drinks from our workshop. The food is gussied up American comfort food made from scratch for sharing. We won’t get upset if you refer to us as a speakeasy, but it’s really not how we see 28. Keeping our venue word-of-mouth (we don’t do active marketing, ever) and hidden behind that nondescript façade allows us to host a more intimate and social setting for our guests. It also allows us to embrace the history of a really cool street. It makes for a fun bit of surprise when you leave the street and enter our little haven.
